Wendy Careena

I am grateful to my husband who valiantly drives me around different historical sights. I excitedly explore castles, grand houses, Roman forts and museums; whilst my husband and sons eagerly peruse the menus in the cafe.

I enjoy touring the countryside and taking my youngest son to the zoo, museums and ice-cream vendors. Watching movies and eating chocolate are one of my favourite pastimes. I like to keep my mind occupied by analysing the plots in films and admiring the characters, when I am cooking or washing-up.

In my free time, I love to read romance novels and historical non-fiction. When I don't have a book handy, I imagine what it is like living in the Roman era or Regency period. My mind embroils itself in stories of how a woman can meet the hero in exhilarating settings.

I have been reading romance novels since I was thirteen years old. It was far more interesting than doing my homework and it also helped improve my English grades. I gained a degree in history and I completed a creative writing course. I then endeavoured to learn how to write novels.

I appreciate the efforts of my husband and son who have diligently made this website for me.
